Born on December 7, 1911 in Marshallville, Ohio, Denny Galehouse (Dennis Ward Galehouse) played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 15 year career. Galehouse broke into the bigs on April 30, 1934 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 4.85 ERA in 148.1 innings pitched in 1936, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Denny Galehouse's best season was 1943, when he posted a 2.77 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 114 batters.
