Born on November 19, 1855 in Lowell, Massachusetts, Denny Driscoll (John F. Driscoll) played for the Buffalo Bisons, Pittsburgh Pirates and Louisville Colonels over the course of his 4 year career. Driscoll broke into the bigs on July 1, 1880 with the Buffalo Bisons, and put up a 1.21 ERA in 201 innings pitched in 1882, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Denny Driscoll's best season was 1882, when he posted a 1.21 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 59 batters.
