Born on February 24, 1979 in Troy, Missouri, Dennis Tankersley (Dennis Lee Tankersley) played for the San Diego Padres for his entire 3 year career. Tankersley broke into the bigs on May 10, 2002 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 8.06 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 2002, his rookie year.
