Born on February 12, 1965 in Fresno, California, Dennis Springer (Dennis LeRoy Springer) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, California Angels, Anaheim Angels, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Florida Marlins, New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 8 year career. Springer broke into the bigs on September 13, 1995 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 5.51 ERA in 94.2 innings pitched in 1996, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Dennis Springer's best season was 1997, when he struck out 75 batters.
