Dennis Partee (Dennis F. Partee) was born on September 1, 1946 in Cameron, Texas. After going to high school at Irvin (El Paso, TX) and Richfield (Waco, TX), Partee attended Southern Methodist University. Partee made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the San Diego Chargers. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time. Partee also played in the NFL for 6 years, playing for the San Diego Chargers the entire time.

Most people believe that 1971 was Dennis Partee's best year, as he had a 43.5 yard punt average.
