Dennis Owens (Dennis Ray Owens) was born on February 24, 1960 in Clinton, North Carolina. After going to high school at Clinton (NC), Owens attended North Carolina State University. Owens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the New England Patriots. He played for the New England Patriots for his entire 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1984 was Dennis Owens's best year, as he recorded 6.5 sacks.
