Dennis Murphy (Alvin D. Murphy) was born on March 9, 1943 in Cairo, Georgia. After going to high school at Cairo (GA), Murphy attended the University of Florida. Murphy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1965 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
