Dennis Gentry (Dennis Louis Gentry) was born on February 10, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas. After going to high school at Dunbar (Lubbock, TX), Gentry attended Baylor University. Gentry made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 11 year career.
Most people believe that 1988 was Dennis Gentry's best year, as he had 578 kick return yards.
