Signed with Calgary as a free agent on May 7, 2003.

2005

Played in 12 regular season games with Calgary including the Western Semi-Final...finished with five quarterback sacks (tied for 5th on the team)...recorded two in the home opener on July 1st vs Toronto...two games later Maxie was all over the field recording five defensive tackles against Ottawa.

2004

Started the season with the San Francisco 49ers...released on August 29...returned to the Stampeders to play in the final six games...despite only playing a limited amount of the season he still recorded 10 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks (second on the team) and three tackles for a loss...one of his best games was on October 16 vs Toronto...he recorded two defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks in the game.

2003

Signed as a free agent with the Calgary Stampeders during the off-season...played in 18 games...recording 28 defensive tackles, eight quarterback sacks, three fumble returns, four tackles for a loss and one forced fumble...one of his strongest games came against Hamilton on October 3 where he recorded 4 defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks...earlier in the season Maxie picked up two more sacks in the Labour Day re-match vs the Edmonton Eskimos...also recorded two quarterback sacks and three defensive tackles...earlier in the 2003 season Maxie played offensive lineman and defensive lineman for the Indiana Firebirds in the Arena Football League.

2002

Attended training camps of the Buffalo Bills and the Indianapolis Colts...re-joined the Toronto Argonauts … finished the season with 22 defensive tackles...one quarterback sack and one pass knockdown.

2001

Attended the training camp of the Chicago Bears...took advantage of the NFL/CFL players agreement, signed with the Bears as an option player...released by the Bears...re-joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the final eight games of the season...recorded 15 defensive tackles...two tackles for losses totalling nine yards...registered one quarterback sack.

2000

Signed as a CFL free agent by the Saskatchewan Roughriders on March 17, 2000...played in all 18 regular season games...was an All-Canadian for the second-time in his career...and a Western Division All-Star for the first-time in his career...recorded 29 defensive tackles...an amazing 11 quarterback sacks for a combined loss of 72 yards...and chipped in with five tackles for a loss...recorded one interception returning it seven yards.

1999

Was an All-Canadian for the first-time in his career … named Eastern Division All-Star...played in all 18 regular season games for the Toronto Argonauts...registered a career high 11 quarterback sacks to finish 3rd in the league in sacks...added 29 defensive tackles...in short yardage situations saw action as the Argos fullback...carried the ball three times for 34 yards including one scamper for 30 yards.

1998

Recorded 40 defensive tackles with Toronto...led the team with eight quarterback sacks...was nominated as the team’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player...recorded five defensive tackles in the Eastern Semi-Final.

1997

Member of the Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts...his third straight Grey Cup Championship...finished the season with 29 defensive tackles...played in all 18 regular season games...recorded seven quarterback sacks for a loss of 53 yards...chipped in with six tackles for losses for another 11 yards...was named the CFL Lineman of Week 13 … recorded four defensive tackles and one quarterback sack vs the Eskimos...recorded two defensive tackles in the Grey Cup win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

1996

Started the season with the Montreal Alouettes...played in 10 regular season games...was released by the Als, September 4th...joined the Argos...started the last five regular season games as well as the Eastern Final and the Grey Cup...recorded 24 defensive tackles between the Als and the Argos...added another two quarterback sacks...recorded three defensive tackles in the Grey Cup win over the Edmonton Eskimos on the snow-covered field at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton.

1995

Signed with the Baltimore Stallions as a free agent, and spent the first eight weeks on the practice roster...played in the final five games of the regular season...the playoffs and the Grey Cup as defensive end...finished the regular season with 24 defensive tackles...and three quarterback sacks.

College

Began his college career at Long Beach City College ... earned All-America honours at linebacker ... transferred to University of Texas El-Paso following his sophomore season ... started all 11 games as a senior at defensive end for the Miners ... recorded 48 unassisted defensive tackles ... also led the team in sacks with four for 16 yards lost.

Personal

Married to wife Maria,the couple have two children, Dominic and Miranda.
