Played in 12 regular season games with Calgary including the Western Semi-Final...finished with five quarterback sacks (tied for 5th on the team)...recorded two in the home opener on July 1st vs Toronto...two games later Maxie was all over the field recording five defensive tackles against Ottawa. Started the season with the San Francisco 49ers...released on August 29...returned to the Stampeders to play in the final six games...despite only playing a limited amount of the season he still recorded 10 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks (second on the team) and three tackles for a loss...one of his best games was on October 16 vs Toronto...he recorded two defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks in the game. Signed as a free agent with the Calgary Stampeders during the off-season...played in 18 games...recording 28 defensive tackles, eight quarterback sacks, three fumble returns, four tackles for a loss and one forced fumble...one of his strongest games came against Hamilton on October 3 where he recorded 4 defensive tackles and two quarterback sacks...earlier in the season Maxie picked up two more sacks in the Labour Day re-match vs the Edmonton Eskimos...also recorded two quarterback sacks and three defensive tackles...earlier in the 2003 season Maxie played offensive lineman and defensive lineman for the Indiana Firebirds in the Arena Football League.
