Del Thompson (Delbert Ray Thompson) was born on February 21, 1958 in Kermit, Texas. After going to high school at Hamlin (TX), Thompson attended Ranger College, the University of Texas and the University of Texas-El Paso. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1982 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire 1 year career.
