Debs Garms (Debs C. Garms) was born on June 26, 1907 in Bangs, Texas. He made his Major League debut on August 10, 1932 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1932, his rookie year, he hit .284 with 1 home run and 8 RBI. Garms played for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Debs Garms's best season was 1940, when he hit for a .355 average and knocked in 57 runs.
