Dean Steward (Harold Dean Steward) was born on July 12, 1923 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. After going to high school at Parsippany (NJ), Steward attended Ursinus College. Steward made his professional debut in the NFL in 1943 with the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh. He played for the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh for his entire 1 year career.
