Dean Palmer (Dean William Palmer) was born on December 27, 1968 in Tallahassee, Florida. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1989 for the Texas Rangers. In 1991, his rookie year, he hit .187 with 15 home runs and 37 RBI. Palmer played for the Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 14 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Dean Palmer's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1996, when he slugged 38 home runs, hit for a .280 average and knocked in 107 runs. However, others believe that it was 1998, when he slugged 34 home runs, hit for a .278 average and knocked in 119 runs.
