Deacon Van Buren (Edward Eugene Van Buren) was born on December 14, 1870 in LaSalle County, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1904 for the Philadelphia Phillies. Van Buren played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 1 year career.
