This past Satuday's WBC Jr. Middleweight Championship bout between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. shattered the all-time records for PPV buys and revenue generated. HBO Sports reported today that the fight was purchased by 2.15 million homes and generated $120 million dollars in revenue. The 2.15 million buys for a PPV fight smashed the previous record by 160,000.
With these numbers and the closeness of the fight it's hard to a imagine a rematch not taking place.
