DeMar Darnell DeRozan (born August 7, 1989 in Compton, California) is a NBA basketball player, currently playing for the Toronto Raptors.

DeRozan attended Compton High School and was ranked as one of the top college recruits in the nation from the class of 2008. He was ranked #3 in the nation by Rivals.com and #6 by Scout.com Class of 2008 Basketball Rankings.
He played on the varsity basketball team all four years of high school. As a senior he led Compton High School to a 26-6 record, a Moore League title and the CIF Division IAA Southern Section quarterfinals. He averaged 29.2 ppg and 7.9 rpg during his final year. DeRozan won the DeRozan wins 2008 Mcdonald's All-American Game Dunk Contest 2008 McDonald's All-American game dunk contest. He was a member of the 2008 McDonald's All-American Team. He had 10 points for the west team. He was also invited to play in the Jordan Brand Classic Stats 2008 Jordan Brand Classic at Madison Square Garden, where he had 17 points.

In November 2007 DeRozan signed a letter of intent to play basketball at USC. He chose USC over Arizona State and North Carolina. He joined his friend, musician-actor-basketball player Romeo Miller.[1]
In his first game for the Trojans, DeRozan scored a team-high 21 points with seven rebounds in an exhibition game against Azusa Pacific, a 85-64 victory, at the Galen Center.[2]
DeRozan had 14 points in his first career regular season game in a win over UC Irvine.[3] He grabbed 12 rebounds in the Pac-10 Conference opener in which USC defeated Oregon, 83-62, on January 2, 2009,[4] and scored a career-high 22 points in a 61-49 win over Arizona State on January 15.[5]
