Dawg Blawg:The Browns In The Playoffs?

The Browns won on the foot of Phil Dawson’s 51 and 33 yard field goals. Now, the Browns are 6-4 and very optimistic on a wild card berth, or even clinching the division. The Browns are in great position to make a run, as the combined win percentage of their opponents is .365. Take a look at these opponents: Houston, Arizona, New York Jets, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and San Francisco. Although the defense is ranked last in the league, they have shown a lot of improvement in the last two games, especially in the secondary. Sean Jones has been key to the secondary’s success, and he will need to continue to be good for the Browns down the home stretch. With the Browns this year most people were worried about the offense, not the defense. But why worry about an offense led by gunner Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards, you could make a case for both of them as MVP if Tom Brady wasn’t playing on another planet. Call it a long shot here, but I really, strongly believe the Browns can go 10-6 or maybe even 11-5, and take the wild card, which we are one game out of at the moment. One thing I’d like to see in the future though, is a commenter crew that isn’t completely against the Browns to win, the announcers today would say the Ravens were coming back when still down by 14, hopefully the Browns can get a game in prime time down the stretch when the TV schedules get flexible.
The Dawg Blawg will appear twice weekly.
