Six-times world champion Steve Davis is among a host of snooker stars competing in the Texaco Charity Snooker Challenge later this month.
The event takes place at Folly Farm, near Tenby, South Wales from May 27-29. The aim of the tournament is to raise funds for the children’s charity, NCH, which is dedicated to helping children and families in need.
Texaco has supported the organisation for over 15 years and is nearing the £1 million milestone.
The Nugget will be joined by the likes of Matthew Stevens, John Parrott, Joe Swail and Dominic Dale. The Challenge will be presented by BBC Sport commentator Willie Thorne.
Players will compete in timed round-robin of matches, allowing the audience to see all five star players perform in each night of the tournament. Competitors will also take on leading junior players in an exhibition format.
“Over the years we’ve held a variety of different events to raise funds for NCH,” said Phil Thompson, Public Affairs Adviser at Texaco’s Pembroke refinery.
“It would be great to be able to break through the £1 million barrier and we hope that snooker lovers and charitable supporters alike will come along and give their support.”
