David Eckstein (David Mark Eckstein) was born on January 20, 1975 in Sanford, Florida. He made his Major League debut on April 3, 2001 for the Anaheim Angels. In 2001, his rookie year, he hit .285 with 4 home runs and 41 RBI. Eckstein played for the Anaheim Angels and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that David Eckstein's best season was 2002, when he hit for a .293 average and knocked in 63 runs.
