David Akers (David Roy Akers) was born on December 9, 1974 in Lexington, Kentucky. After going to high school at Tates Creeks (Lexington, KY), Akers attended the University of Louisville. Akers made his professional debut in the NFL in 1998 with the Washington Redskins. He has played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 2004 was David Akers's best year, as he made 27 field goals.
