Dave Waymer (David Benjamin Waymer) was born on July 1, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York. After going to high school at West (Charlotte, NC), Waymer attended the University of Notre Dame. Waymer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Raiders over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Dave Waymer's best year, as he picked off 9 passes.
