Dave Van Gorder (David Thomas Van Gorder) was born on March 27, 1957 in Los Angeles, California. He made his Major League debut on June 15, 1982 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1982, his rookie year, he hit .182 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI. Van Gorder played for the Cincinnati Reds and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 5 year career.
