Dave Stief (David Stief) was born on January 29, 1956 in Portland, Oregon. After going to high school at John Marshall (Portland, OR), Stief attended Coffeyville JC and Portland State University. Stief made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Redskins over the course of his 6 year career.
