Dave Stephenson (James Davidson Stephenson) was born on October 22, 1925 in Clendenin, West Virginia. After going to high school at Charleston (WV), Stephenson attended the University of Tennessee and West Virginia University. Stephenson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that 1950 was Dave Stephenson's best year.
