Dave Stegman (David William Stegman) was born on January 30, 1954 in Inglewood, California. He made his Major League debut on September 4, 1978 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1980, his rookie year, he hit .177 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI. Stegman played for the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 6 year career.
