Dave Sparks (David Walter Sparks) was born on April 28, 1928. After going to high school at Lorain (OH), Sparks attended the University of South Carolina. Sparks made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1954 was Dave Sparks's best year.
