Dave Skaggs (David Lindsey Skaggs) was born on June 12, 1951 in Santa Monica, California. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1977 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1977, his rookie year, he hit .287 with 1 home run and 24 RBI. Skaggs played for the Baltimore Orioles and California Angels over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Dave Skaggs's best season was 1977, when he hit for a .287 average.
