Dave Sherer

Dave Sherer (David McDonald Sherer) was born on February 14, 1937 in Galion, Ohio. After going to high school at Carlsbad (NM), Sherer attended New Mexico Military Institute and Southern Methodist University. Sherer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1959 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Colts over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1960 was Dave Sherer's best year, as he dropped 15 punts inside the 20 and had a 42.5 yard punt average.
