Dave Shean (David William Shean) was born on July 9, 1883 in Arlington, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 1906 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1909, his rookie year, he hit .243 with 1 home run and 33 RBI. Shean played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Doves, Chicago Cubs, Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 9 year career.
