Born on September 1, 1957 in San Bernardino, California, Dave Rucker (David Michael Rucker) played for the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career. Rucker broke into the bigs on April 12, 1981 with the Detroit Tigers, and put up a 3.38 ERA in 64 innings pitched in 1982, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dave Rucker's best season was 1984, when he posted a 2.10 ERA.
