Dave Richards (David Reed Richards) was born on April 11, 1966 in Staten Island, New York. After going to high school at Highland Park (Dallas, TX), Richards attended Southern Methodist University and the University of California - Los Angeles. Richards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers, Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots and Detroit Lions over the course of his 9 year career.
