Dave Pope (David Pope) was born on June 17, 1921 in Talladega, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on July 1, 1952 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1955, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 7 home runs and 52 RBI. Pope played for the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that Dave Pope's best season was 1955, when he knocked in 52 runs.
