Dave Pacella (David Wade Pacella) was born on February 7, 1960 in Swickley, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Reading, PA, Pacella attended the University of Maryland. Pacella made his professional debut in the [USLF] with the Washington Federals and started in every game but one. He played for two years with the Federals before going to the NFL in 1984 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 1 year. Was cut by the [Philadelphia Eagles] in the off season of 1984 and picked up by the [New York Jets] on waivers. He was hurt in training camp and had season ending knee surgery. The [New York Jets] released Pacella at the end of the 1985 season. Pacella then tried out for the [Pittsburg Steelers in 1986 and was released at the end of training camp.
