Born on September 5, 1942 in San Diego, California, Dave Morehead (David Michael Morehead) played for the Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 8 year career. Morehead broke into the bigs on April 13, 1963 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 3.81 ERA in 174.2 innings pitched in 1963, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Dave Morehead's best season was 1965, when he posted a 4.06 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 163 batters.
