Dave May (David LaFrance May) was born on December 23, 1943 in New Castle, Delaware. He made his Major League debut on July 28, 1967 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1968, his rookie year, he hit .191 with 0 home runs and 7 RBI. May played for the Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Dave May's best season was 1973, when he slugged 25 home runs, hit for a .303 average and knocked in 93 runs.
