Dave Martin (David Kenneth Martin) was born on October 23, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas. After going to high school at Bishop Miege (Shawnee Mission, KS), Martin attended the University of Notre Dame. Martin made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Kansas City Chiefs the entire time. Martin also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time.
