Born on March 31, 1920 in Menasha, Wisconsin, Dave Koslo (George Bernard Koslo) played for the New York Giants, Milwaukee Braves and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 12 year career. Koslo broke into the bigs on September 12, 1941 with the New York Giants, and put up a 5.08 ERA in 78 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Dave Koslo's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1946, when he posted a 3.63 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 121 batters. However, others believe that it was 1952, when he posted a 3.19 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 67 batters.
