Dave Kocourek (David Allen Kocourek) was born on August 20, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. After going to high school at J.S. Morton (Cicero, IL), Kocourek attended the University of Wisconsin. Kocourek made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played for the San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1961 was Dave Kocourek's best year, as he hauled in 55 receptions, had 1055 receiving yards and caught 4 TD passes.
