Dave Hettema (David Gary Hettema) was born on November 7, 1942 in Pasadena, California. After going to high school at Pasadena (CA), Hettema attended Pasadena City College and the University of New Mexico. Hettema made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 2 year career.
