Dave Herman (David Jon Herman) was born on September 3, 1941 in Bryan, Ohio. After going to high school at Edon (OH), Herman attended Michigan State University. Herman made his professional debut in the AFL in 1964 with the New York Jets. He played in the AFL for 6 years, playing for the New York Jets the entire time. Herman also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the New York Jets the entire time.
