Born on January 18, 1955 in Windber, Pennsylvania, Dave Geisel (John David Geisel) played for the Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 7 year career. Geisel broke into the bigs on June 13, 1978 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 4.64 ERA in 52.1 innings pitched in 1983, his rookie year.
