Dave Engle (Ralph David Engle) was born on November 30, 1956 in San Diego, California. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1981 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1981, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 5 home runs and 32 RBI. Engle played for the Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, Montreal Expos and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Dave Engle's best season was 1983, when he hit for a .305 average.
