Born on December 3, 1936 in Oldenburg, Texas, Dave Eilers (David Louis Eilers) played for the Milwaukee Braves, New York Mets and Houston Astros over the course of his 4 year career. Eilers broke into the bigs on July 27, 1964 with the Milwaukee Braves, and put up a 3.94 ERA in 59.1 innings pitched in 1967, his rookie year.
