Born on July 5, 1966 in Dade City, Florida, Dave Eiland (David William Eiland) played for the New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the course of his 10 year career. Eiland broke into the bigs on August 3, 1988 with the New York Yankees, and put up a 5.33 ERA in 72.2 innings pitched in 1991, his rookie year.
