Born on August 23, 1942 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dave Dowling (David Barclay Dowling) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 2 year career. Dowling broke into the bigs on October 3, 1964 with the St. Louis Cardinals.
