Born on August 29, 1930 in Williamsport, Maryland, Dave Cole (David Bruce Cole) played for the Boston Braves, Milwaukee Braves, Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 6 year career. Cole broke into the bigs on September 9, 1950 with the Boston Braves, and put up a 4.26 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.
