Dave Butler (David Michael Butler) was born on July 17, 1965 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. After going to high school at St. John's (Toledo, OH), Butler attended the University of Notre Dame. Butler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 1 year career.
