Dave Barbee (David Monroe Barbee) was born on May 7, 1905 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on July 29, 1926 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1932, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 5 home runs and 55 RBI. Barbee played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 2 year career.
