Dave Robertson (Davis Aydelotte Robertson) was born on September 25, 1889 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on June 5, 1912 for the New York Giants. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 2 home runs and 32 RBI. Robertson played for the New York Giants, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Dave Robertson's best season was 1916, when he hit for a .307 average and knocked in 69 runs.
