Dave Atkins

Dave Atkins (David Chales Atkins) was born on May 18, 1949 in Victoria, Texas. After going to high school at Victoria (TX), Atkins attended New Mexico Military Institute and the University of Texas-El Paso. Atkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1973 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1973 was Dave Atkins's best year.
